Welsh Glass and Song!

Detail of Victorian window currently being restored at The Welsh School of Architectural Glass in Swansea

I had a great day in Swansea today at a forum on Welsh stained glass at the welsh School of Architectural Glass.

I enjoyed finding out about the history of glass painting in Wales, and it was great to see the fabulous windows in St. Marys Church in Swansea.

The Piper windows are amazing, and the Millenium window by Martin Donlin fills the church with a breathtaking light. Lisa Burkl and Rodney Bender were inspirational in talking about their work, well worth a visit.

Right now I am at Ceridwen Centre at Drefach Felindre for a harmony singing weekend on a weaving theme with Sarah Harman. There are places if you want a good day singing tomorrow. Sarah says men with bass voices can come for free!
